**Job Opportunity:** Principal Mechanical Engineer Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering and leadership skills to join our team as a Principal Mechanical Engineer Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative solutions and lead high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of mechanical design and engineering, including conceptual design, basis of design, scope of work, and development of construction documents.
  • Identify potential risks to projects and stakeholders, and create contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
  • Liaise with relevant organizations, agencies, vendors, and clients to implement plans and ensure that projects meet quality and safety standards.
  • Manage company assets, equipment rental, and manpower to optimize utilization and cost.
  • Arrange timely and consistent communication sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed mechanical designs for municipal-scale wastewater treatment systems.
  • Lead a team of mechanical engineers and develop core technical competencies to ensure the company remains competitive in providing value-added products and services to customers.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification recognized by PEB.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience.
  • Prior experience in Environmental, Water, or Wastewater Engineering is highly desirable.
  • Able to lead and motivate a team, as well as adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly with people at all levels about goals, responsibilities, performance, expectations, and feedbacks.

Location:

This role is based in the Tuas area (West region) and requires flexibility to work on-site.
