Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Systems Installation Specialist

The Job Description & Requirements are as follows:

Roles and Responsibilities

This is a key role in ensuring the quality of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems installation on various construction projects.

  • Regular site inspections will be conducted to verify compliance with method statements and Good Industry Practice (GIP).
  • All method statements used must have approval from clients and consultants.
  • Sites checks will be performed to ensure that project requirements are met, and all M&E works are ready for inspection prior to project handover.
  • Liaison with Client inspectors/Authorized Inspectors will be maintained to ensure compliance.
  • Performance monitoring of subcontractor workers/vendors for all trades will be done to resolve quality issues and rectify any defects.
  • Quality control execution will be carried out as per site-specific materials and Works Quality Plan.
  • Controlled documents administration will be ensured effectively.
  • Daily coordination of all site work activities for M&E installation will be required.
  • Purchased products verification will be executed at vendors' premises as specified in contracts.
  • Test equipment calibration will be ensured properly.
  • Corrective and preventive actions against non-conformities and recurrence will be monitored.
  • Feedback assessment on the construction process and procedures will be carried out.
  • BCA CONQUAS assessments liaison will be arranged.
  • Required tests following contract requirements will be followed up.
  • Regular site meetings - QAQC, Site Coordination Meeting, and Client Meeting will be attended.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Polytechnic Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant QAQC experience.
  • A proven track record and hands-on project quality documentation in construction quality with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical (piping, ducting, ACMV) and electrical systems installation.
  • Substantial hands-on project quality documentation in construction sector.
  • Candidates may be assigned to projects at Tuas area.
  • Willingness to work at Tuas with transportation pickup at designated MRT station.
