
Savory Meat Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Barbecue Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meats using smokers, grills, and open flame techniques.
This role requires strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality in food preparation and presentation.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar kitchen role and possess knowledge of smoking techniques, meat cuts, and seasoning methods.
You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless operations and provide exceptional customer service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Meat Preparation and Smoking
- Trim, season, marinate, and monitor meats throughout the smoking and cooking process
- Operate and maintain smokers, grills, and other kitchen equipment
- Food Presentation and Service
- Ensure food is prepared according to recipes, presentation standards, and portion guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and assist with prep work, plating, and clean-up as needed
- Kitchen Safety and Inventory
- Manage inventory of barbecue supplies and ingredients; notify of low stock level
- Keep work area, equipment, and tools clean and organized at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Knowledge of smoking techniques, meat cuts, and seasoning methods
- Able to perform split shifts, work on weekends, and public holidays
- Have initiative and hardworking attitude to learn and contribute
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
