Job Opportunity for Piping Material Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Material Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

Piping Material Engineers play a vital role in the upstream oil and gas sector. They ensure that piping material engineering related activities are executed efficiently and effectively.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a single point of contact for piping material engineering matters throughout all project phases.
  • Leading projects and coordinating with other organizational units as required.
  • Maintaining technical integrity for compliance to project HSE requirements relevant to the scope of work.
  • Reviewing and providing technical inputs on various piping material related specifications and associated technical matters.
  • Ensuring that all assigned work is completed on time, meeting project schedules and intended quality standards.
  • Cordinating actively with other offices, for the projects being executed from multiple locations, attending meetings and communicating effectively.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience working in an engineering setup for upstream oil & gas projects (platforms & FPSO projects) serving in the capacity of a Lead/Senior Material Engineer.
  • Excellent technical knowledge, strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation and ability to work well under minimal supervision.
  • Experience in software usage for piping material quantity estimate, procurement planning, material traceability, and delivery to site.
  • Proficiency in common business applications such as MS Office and MS Excel.
  • Expertise in Navisworks, ASME, API, and NCS/UKCS sectors.
  • Prior work experience in medium/large-sized brownfield and green-field projects in the Oil and Gas sector will be highly beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates possessing the following qualifications will be given preference:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Material Engineering or equivalent specialisation.
  • Excellent technical communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to present technical issues to design teams, client technical authorities, and approving bodies.
