Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Kitchen Operations Associate, responsible for maintaining the safety, order, and cleanliness of food laboratories and preparation rooms.

  • Prepare ingredients for practical lessons, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Assist teachers with hands-on demonstrations, promoting student engagement and understanding.
  • Maintain classroom discipline during practical lessons, fostering a productive learning environment.
  • Manage the inventory of food ingredients, ensuring timely restocking and optimal utilization.
  • Compile and place food orders based on lesson recipes, working closely with school-approved vendors.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate records and prevent stock discrepancies.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Support teachers with administrative tasks, including filing and organizing equipment.
  • Participate in school activities outside curriculum time, contributing to a vibrant and inclusive community.
Key Qualifications

A successful candidate will possess a PSLE Certificate or equivalent, with excellent communication skills in English. Experience in food preparation, preferably in a school or commercial setting, is highly valued.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with kitchen appliances and general kitchen safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food ingredients, preparation techniques, food safety practices, and handling procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
