Ceramics Technician Role
Our ceramics studio is seeking an experienced ceramics technician to manage the day-to-day operations of our studio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and operation of the studio.

### Key Responsibilities:
* Develop engaging lesson plans and conduct classes to teach ceramics skills to students of various skill levels
* Plan exhibitions and events including artist workshops: Organize and execute successful exhibitions and events that showcase the work of local artists and provide opportunities for them to share their skills with others
* Ensure kilns are properly loaded and unloaded, and ceramic pieces are fired to the correct temperature and duration
* Design and produce AIA ceramic products for retail purposes: Create visually appealing ceramic products that meet the requirements of retailers and consumers
* Set up, clean, and demonstrate the use of equipment and instruments: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and demonstrate the proper use of equipment and instruments to students and colleagues
* Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure the studio has the necessary materials to operate efficiently
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by regularly inspecting and cleaning the work area, equipment, and supplies, and ensuring that all materials are properly stored and secured

### Qualifications & Requirements:
* Candidates with at least a diploma or degree in 3D art-related qualifications, especially pottery: Possess a strong foundation in ceramics and 3D art principles
* Intermediate knowledge of ceramics (throwing, trimming, and glazing): Have a solid understanding of ceramics techniques and processes
* Able to make sake sets and teapot sets: Possess the skills and experience to create high-quality ceramic pieces
* Experience with teaching ceramics will be an absolute advantage: Have experience teaching ceramics to students of various skill levels
* Personal qualities: Passionate about working in the ceramics industry, responsible and well-organized, good communication skills, enjoy interacting with customers, a team player, willing to work over weekends and public holidays, meticulous, good organizational and documentation skills
