Academic Mentor Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Academic Mentor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences that promote active student participation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver instructional activities that cater to students' diverse needs.
  • Establish clear objectives for all learning activities and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Prepare a variety of learning materials and resources to support instruction.
  • Use technology to enhance the learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic degree holder (English major) or above with at least 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
  • Qualifications in TEFL/TESOL/CELTA are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the Singapore curriculum is essential.
  • Passion for teaching and ability to motivate students.
  • Dynamic and energetic approach to lesson planning and delivery.
  • Maturity and independence in managing classroom activities.
  • Competent PC skills and ability to integrate technology into lessons.
