
Senior Leadership Position in Defence Psychology

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Defence Psychology Department. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and alignment with organisational objectives.
About the RoleThis is a key leadership position that requires a strategic thinker who can drive business outcomes, manage stakeholder relationships, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology, research methods, and digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities- Manage departmental operations to achieve organisational goals
- Coordinate cross-functional projects to drive business outcomes
- Drive digital transformation by integrating digital tools and systems into workflows
- Establish data governance frameworks to ensure data security and integrity
- Lead research methodology advancement to deliver quality psychological products
- Oversee IT ecosystem integration to improve system efficiency
- Education in Psychology or related field with specialisation in research methods and demonstrate a strong foundation in psychological research methodologies
- At least 8 years of experience in business operations or strategic planning, with demonstrated success in implementing digital transformation initiatives
- Good understanding of data governance and security frameworks, data management workflow and experience managing technical projects in complex organisations
- Leadership presence and organisational awareness to coordinate business operations across multiple stakeholders
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships across government agencies
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking to translate complex psychological theories into practical military frameworks
- Technical aptitude and strategic mindset to drive digital transformation and data governance initiatives
- Systematic approach and adaptable mindset to balance day-to-day operations with long-term strategic development
