Coating Operator Role Overview
As a coating operator, you will be responsible for the preparation and application of coatings to various surfaces. Your primary duties will include operating equipment to apply coatings, ensuring that all surfaces are properly cleaned and prepared before applying the coating.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Perform sandblasting operations on coating equipment and tooling.
  2. Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces using appropriate cleaning techniques.
  3. Set up and operate blast booths or similar equipment to prepare surfaces for coating applications.
  4. Prepare evaporation materials and maintain the sandblasting area to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Perform all duties in accordance with work instructions and standard procedures.
  6. Cleanliness and safety requirements must always be adhered to.


Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Secondary education or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Candidates with an NITEC certificate but without any working experience are also welcome to apply.


Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to pay attention to details and maintain a careful and thorough work attitude.
  • Ability to perform machine set-ups and simple troubleshooting tasks.
  • Capacity to work effectively with team members.


Working Conditions:
This role is 100% onsite and requires the ability to work in a clean room environment with high noise levels and continuous standing and bending. Some chemical exposure may be involved, and willing candidates should be prepared to work 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Tight-fit respirators will be required when necessary, along with adherence to safety rules.
