The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to perform imaging procedures on patients for diagnostic interpretation.
Key responsibilities include providing clear instructions to prepare the patients, performing daily quality checks of the gamma cameras, ensuring the procedures are carried out as per protocol, and processing image data.
This will involve dispensing radioisotopes in the radiopharmacy lab, giving radioisotope tracer injections, and proper documentation of quality checks and radiopharmaceutical data.
The successful candidate will also perform pharmacologic stress tests for patients under the supervision of a physician. They are expected to participate in research programmes and comply with radiation safety guidelines.
Clinical training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Diagnostic Radiography or Radiation Therapy
- Valid R1 License from Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Department, National Environment Agency Singapore
- A team player with good communication skills
- Participation in research programmes
- Clinical training
- Compliance with radiation safety guidelines
- Documentation of quality checks and radiopharmaceutical data
- Proper administration of radioisotopes
