Our organization is currently seeking a Senior Instrumentation Team Lead, a dynamic and skilled professional to oversee the installation, maintenance, and calibration of complex instrumentation and control systems.

This role requires strong leadership skills to ensure timely and accurate execution of daily work tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving abilities and be able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and calibration of instrumentation and control systems, including pressure, temperature, level, flow, and other critical processes.
  • Planning and allocating daily work tasks to the instrumentation team to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitoring the quality of work to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Overseeing testing and commissioning of field instruments, control valves, transmitters, PLCs, and DCS systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting faults in instrumentation and control systems and providing technical solutions on-site.
  • Coordinating with engineering, electrical, and mechanical departments for inter-disciplinary activities to achieve project goals.
  • Ensuring proper use and maintenance of calibration tools, testing equipment, and safety devices to prevent accidents and errors.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of loop checks, calibration records, and test reports to facilitate future reference and decision-making.

Key Requirements for this Position Include:

  • A degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field to provide a solid foundation for the role.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, PLCs, and DCS to enable effective system management.
  • Familiarity with calibration procedures, standards (e.g., ISA), and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and precision in system operation.
  • Experience with commissioning, loop checking, and functional testing of instruments to guarantee optimal system performance.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and permit-to-work systems in marine environments to protect personnel and equipment.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and team supervision skills to manage the instrumentation team effectively.
