Healthcare Informatics Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in evaluating, coordinating, and implementing designated projects and systems to enhance the organizational function of nursing services.
This role involves developing and revising informatics policies and procedures, leading clinical staff in specialty areas, and attending IT meetings to report project status.
- Develop a comprehensive nursing information management system along resident's journey in our healthcare settings.
- Assist/lead the development of clinical workflows and SOPs with best practices in mind.
- Lead all clinical staff across the healthcare system in the specialty area of nursing informatics.
- Evaluate and implement new technology and procedures related to advanced healthcare technology.
- Develop and maintain integration test scripts and participate in testing events or coordinate clinical resources.
- Provide clinical expertise and education related to the implementation of new technology and procedures.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the analysis, design implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of assigned clinical informatics applications and projects.
- Explore emerging roles, technologies, and models of nursing informatics practices and translate initiatives into products, strategy, and patient care direction.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing with valid RN license.
- Prior experience in Healthcare Information Technology, including selection and implementation of healthcare information systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct acute care/clinical experiences.
Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science Degree in Nursing Information Technology or Health Sciences.
