Health Research Coordinator

This role is a vital part of the health assessment operations of cohort studies that contribute to a Singapore population biobank. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational planning, Work Instructions (WI), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data collection protocols.
Key responsibilities include sourcing and coordinating with vendors for procurement and supply of services or goods required for health screening operations. Additionally, the Health Research Coordinator will perform health screening procedures according to WI and SOPs, ensuring participant safety and privacy through adherence to established guidelines and work practices.
Periodic technical re-assessments will be conducted to ensure standardization and consistency in data collection and image acquisition. New procedures will be implemented for future research projects, and there may be opportunities to take on supervisory roles to actively train, assess, and supervise trainees involved in research operations.
Requirements
- Degree in Life Sciences/Biomedical Sciences or relevant fields from recognized institutions.
- A 42-hour work week, Monday to Friday (7:45am-6:15pm) and 2 designated Saturdays (7:45am-3:15pm) per month.
- Work location: National University of Singapore, Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health.
- Ability to interact with people of various age groups and backgrounds.
- Fluency in spoken Mandarin/Chinese Dialects/Malay/Tamil is an advantage for communicating with participants who only converse in these languages.
- Phlebotomy skills are an advantage.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- Successful candidates will be appointed on a 1-year contract, renewable based on funding and performance.
