About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Service Expert to join our team at RYU TARO YAKITORI PTE. LTD. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and serve customers in a warm and welcoming manner, guiding them to their tables and providing exceptional service throughout their meal
  • Presentation menus and efficiently take customer orders, including any special requests, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Offer wine and menu recommendations upon request, enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests
  • Provide information on ingredients, portions, and potential food allergies when asked, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction and safety
  • Ensure that orders are correct and delivered promptly, maintaining a high level of efficiency and organization
  • Effectively communicate with kitchen staff on order details, ensuring seamless execution and quality control
  • Input orders into the POS system accurately and efficiently, minimizing errors and delays
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation, reporting any issues or concerns to management
  • Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, including table settings, utensils, and glassware
  • Clear courses as completed, replace utensils and cutlery, and refresh water glasses to maintain a high level of service quality
  • Process cash and credit card payments efficiently and accurately, handling customer transactions with professionalism and courtesy
  • Handle customer complaints in a polite and professional manner, resolving issues promptly and fairly
  • Discuss daily specials, menu changes, and reservation requests with kitchen staff, ensuring seamless execution and quality control
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items and daily specials, staying informed about new offerings and promotions
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment
  • Comply with safety, health, and hygiene policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
