Power Electronics Researcher

We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Researcher to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for advancing power conversion solutions for renewable energy systems.

  • Design and develop topologies and control strategies for DC/DC, DC/AC, and AC/DC power converters.
  • Conduct simulations, experiments, and analysis to advance power conversion solutions for renewable energy systems.
  • Review grid codes and standards, and evaluate compliance of existing or proposed converter solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications to disseminate research outcomes.
  • Contribute to research proposals and project deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, with strong academic and publication track record.
  • Solid expertise in power electronics analysis, simulation, and experimental validation.
  • Proficiency in tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or PSIM.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.
  • Fresh Ph.D. graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply for a Research Fellow position. Candidates with a significant track record and minimum 4 years as a post-doc could be considered for a Senior Research Fellow positions.

Key responsibilities include developing innovative solutions for power conversion, collaborating with researchers and engineers, and publishing research findings in top-tier journals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power electronics, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience with grid codes, HIL simulators, rapid prototyping, or wide bandgap devices is highly desirable.
