Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Systems Director to join our team. As a key member of our project management department, you will be responsible for leading projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, and contractors to define project requirements and ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Lead project teams, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of project goals and objectives.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor installation, commissioning, and performance of HVAC and ventilation systems.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to avoid delays, cost overruns, and quality issues.
  • Ensure all work adheres to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Track expenses, control costs, and implement corrective measures when needed.
  • Approve purchase orders, invoices, and project-related financial transactions.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high-performance HVAC and ventilation systems.
  • Conduct testing, commissioning, and performance evaluations before project handover.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, contracts, permits, and compliance reports.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status.
  • Document lessons learned for continuous process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical ventilation, or MEP project management.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and project costs effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (ASHRAE, SMACNA, LEED, local codes).
