Our Innovation Hub
SAP Labs Singapore is the 20th engineering hub in the SAP Labs Network, driving product leadership, fostering talent, and boosting ecosystem engagement through various initiatives. We aim to expand significantly and become the Embedded Artificial Hub for SAP, leveraging core competencies in current teams.
Your Role
As an Associate AI Developer/AI Developer, you will collaborate with a team of experts, including AI scientists, data engineers, dev-ops engineers, and architects, to build top-notch AI products. You will work against fixed timelines, delivering solutions matching the performance of leading artificial intelligence systems.
Key Responsibilities
Your tasks include:
- Pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence to create innovative solutions.
- Exploring, understanding, and implementing recent technologies and approaches for cloud applications and data pipelines.
- Handling multi-terabyte datasets in scale-up and scale-out environments.
- Striving for automation and cloud operation readiness.
- Understanding business processes creating and consuming data to select best approaches, evaluate their performance, and assess business relevance.
- Supporting machine learning research/project teams with all aspects around data.
- Building scalable and reusable data processing pipelines.
- Create excellence both in terms of results quality and system scalability through continuous evaluation, analysis, and refinement of the system implementation.
- Working closely with the team, customers, and partners to holistically understand business and user requirements and derive adequate application development concepts.
- Performing quality assurance tasks and solving complex integration issues.
- Ability to work in global teams with different time zones.
- Immerse yourself quickly into new topics, terminology, and development tasks.
Requirements
You should have a degree in Computer Science or a related field and 0-3 years of experience as a software developer, preferably in AI-focused cloud application development. A solid foundation in computer science, strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded programming, and software design principles are necessary. Additionally, hands-on knowledge in at least two server/client-side programming languages such as Java, Scala, Go, Python, node.js, C++ is required. Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka, as well as frameworks like Spring, Play, AngularJS, Flask, container & orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based application development using platforms like SAP's business technology platform, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
Salary
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
