Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Corporate Banking Agent to join our team at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agency and/or credit administration, with the ability to read loan agreements.

  • Manage loan documentation, including review of draft documents and setup of new loans.
  • Collaborate with the Agency Ops team to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and facilitate drawdown and prepayment processes.
  • Provide advice on operations matters, including drawdown rollover, repayment, and prepayment.
  • Monitor covenants and collateral, and manage securities assigned to the loan agent.
Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Reviewing and setting up new loans, including checking and reconciling conditions precedent documents.
  2. Managing loan administration functions, including monitoring procedures for drawdown and obtaining necessary documents.
  3. Providing support to the Agency Ops team on operations matters, including drawdown rollover, repayment, and prepayment.
  4. Monitoring covenants and collateral, and managing securities assigned to the loan agent.

Additionally, the candidate will handle waiver and amendment requests, arrange lenders' meetings, and collect and distribute relevant documents.
