Senior Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager

The Senior Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with established operating standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the daily activities of a team of Laboratory Assistants who inspect raw material, goods in process, and finished products.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that team's resources are utilized effectively, and work schedules and targets are met.
- Assist the Quality Manager in classifying final product and reworked lots.
- Investigate quality issues, implement improvements from analysis gap studies, and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor in-process samples, liaise with production teams for preventive and corrective actions.
- Prepare activity and progression reports to identify recurring problems and address them promptly.
- Monitor staff performance, equipment functionality, and laboratory processes to ensure quality control system effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop and update quality and budget reports as necessary.
- Train all lab assistants and shift technicians on laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Serve as a liaison between the QC department and other stakeholders as needed.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in a chemical-related field, such as chemistry or chemical engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in laboratory testing, including wet chemistry.
- Proven ability to supervise and lead a team of Laboratory Assistants.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, including GC, AAS, Auto-titrator, NIR, and other analytical instruments.
- Experience with manual testing methods and procedures.
