Medical Laboratory Assistant

The role of a Medical Laboratory Assistant is pivotal in supporting clinical cases by conducting laboratory analysis and operating equipment according to established procedures.

This position involves close collaboration with the lab lead to ensure seamless daily operations and provide regular updates on laboratory activities. To excel in this role, you will need a minimum Diploma/Degree in Biomedical Science or a relevant qualification.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting laboratory analysis and operating equipment according to established procedures
  • Providing guidance for staff members and facilitating the onboarding of new hires in laboratory procedures
  • Collaborating closely with the lab lead and providing regular updates regarding laboratory activities
  • Assisting in planning rosters to cover normal duties
  • Ensuring smooth daily operations of the laboratory
  • Ad-hoc duties as assigned

Working with various technologies including Active Directory, Windows Domain, Windows, Applications Support, Encryption, VMware Workstation, Laboratory, VPN and Video Conferencing. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to manage people effectively.
