Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Linux Platform Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, low-latency infrastructure solutions across our global network.

  • This role requires a strong background in ultra-low latency systems and experience working with Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky) in large environments focused on operations, systems engineering, and systems performance.
  • You will work closely with business partners, application owners, clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver systems based on Linux, in response to requirements and day-to-day requests.

Responsibilities

  • Provide low-latency infrastructure solutions consistently across 400+ servers at 22+ global sites.
  • Project delivery, support escalations, monitoring, automation, security, documentation, and capacity management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience working with Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky) in a large environment focused on operations, systems engineering, and systems performance.
  • Experience in server management and support: HP, SuperMicro, Dell, various overclock servers.
  • Proficiency with low latency network interfaces and kernel bypass (configuration and optimization): Solarflare with onload, Mellanox with VMA.
  • In-depth knowledge of server network stack configuration, tuning & troubleshooting including TCP, UDP (unicast/multicast), NTP, PTP, wireshark/tshark.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or related).
  • Excellent critical and analytical problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Good knowledge of system hardware/OS tuning and performance troubleshooting, understanding of CPU architectures.
  • Experience with build and configuration management tools, specifically Chef or Ansible.
  • Experience with observability tools, in particular Grafana & Prometheus.
  • Experience with scripting & automation (Python, Ruby, Bash).
