Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Production Radiochemist at our institution. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the routine production of radiopharmaceuticals inside a Clean Room environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and laboratory techniques, with experience in working with radioactive materials and equipment. You will be required to perform tasks such as:
  1. Perform radiolabelling of peptides, antibodies, or small molecules using radionuclides like Lu-177, Ga-68, F-18, etc.
  2. Prepare and review batch records, lab notebooks, SOPs and other quality documentation.
  3. Assist with emergency maintenance/calibration of radiochemistry synthesis and dispensing modules (e.g., Scintomics, iPhase, Trasis).
  4. Support deviation investigations, CAPAs, and change control implementations as needed.
  5. Perform ad-hoc clean room activities, including cleaning of rooms, stock inventory and environmental monitoring.
  6. Safe handling of radioactive materials including hazardous waste disposal.
  7. Working flexible hours, shifts, or weekends based on production schedules and isotope half-lives.


To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent technical skills, analytical expertise, and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills are also essential for effective collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders. The ability to read technical manuals, interpret wiring diagrams, and communicate effectively with engineers or vendors for equipment servicing is highly desirable.
