Scientist/Senior Scientist - Digital Manufacturing Division (DMD) / Cyber-Physical Production System (CPPS), SIMTech
A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research is seeking a Scientist/Senior Scientist in the CPPS group to lead development of AI technologies for predictive/prescriptive analytics and decision support in manufacturing. The role involves defining growth opportunities, engaging industry to advance AI for manufacturing, and leading a team of scientists and engineers to translate industry problems into deployable deep-tech AI solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop AI models to enhance and automate decision making and enable predictive/prescriptive analytics
Define opportunities to push frontiers of AI research in manufacturing
Formulate research directions and proposals for competitive funding to advance AI in manufacturing
Engage with companies to understand their challenges and translate them into research collaborations in AI
Work with a team of scientists and engineers to execute deliverables for industry projects
Contribute to research and development in Cyber-Physical Production System technologies
Develop research proposals to secure competitive funding
Lead technology development, live production environment test bedding and technology
