Piping Technical Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Technical Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring piping testing and reinstatement works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and schedules.

  • Coordinate and oversee piping testing and reinstatement works to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules.
  • Perform activities related to pipe hydro testing, estimate material take-offs, and complete works.
  • Prepare pre-job briefings and toolbox talks for the workforce prior to starting work activities.
  • Promote job safety and environmental awareness among workers and other site personnel.
  • Supervise all piping works and ensure safety and quality standards are met as per project requirements.
  • Inspect and approve QA/QC submittals to clients.
  • Perform surveillance and inspection of piping systems to ensure tightness during testing.
  • Manage completion of all required deliverables for test pack completion, including isometrics, red-line markups, piping plans, and tie-in lists.
  • Enforce safe work practices at the job site and monitor workers' adherence to safety protocols.
  • Attend Project Safety Coordination Committee meetings and participate in joint daily inspections, weekly management inspections, and client audits.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years' field experience in piping works, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Good knowledge of piping works and the ability to read P&IDs and piping shop drawings.
