Job Title: Senior Piping Specialist

Plan for efficient resource utilization in the department. Coordinate with other departments on daily production schedules. Monitor project drawings and technical information issuing schedule. Attend project progress meetings and liaise with owners representatives.

Assess staff work performance and identify training needs. Monitor job progress, man hours, and productivity. Evaluate work processes and methods of the department.

Evaluate technical and engineering requirements of jobs and review drawings. Resolve technical problems or issues with OEMs or owners on site. Ensure quality work is produced at targeted schedules.

Participate in safety work plans and conduct activities that meet regulatory requirements. Attend VSCC meetings as necessary. Span of Control: Up to 4 CHs & 48 workers (Yard Man) or 5 Supervisors & 60 workers (Contractors). Requirements: Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering. Work experience in Marine industry or Refinery Piping works. Knowledge of Classification requirements and Ship Building Standards. Knowledge of piping systems, control systems, and their classification requirements. Able to interpret technical piping system drawings and specifications.
