Job Title: Senior Investment Director - Impact Investing

We are seeking a seasoned senior investment professional to join our team. As part of the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping investment strategy, leading key transactions and representing us with external stakeholders including investors, founders, and co-investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine sector investment theses and pipeline generation.
  • Oversee sourcing, screening, and prioritization of high-quality investment opportunities.
  • Provide strategic leadership across the full deal lifecycle from origination to exit.

Deal Execution and Portfolio Management:

  • Lead due diligence, financial analysis, structuring, and negotiations.
  • Serve as a board representative for portfolio companies and support key value creation initiatives.
  • Monitor portfolio companies' performance and lead exit planning and execution.

Firm Leadership and Representation:

  • Contribute to fundraising, investor relations, and thought leadership.
  • Effectively manage internal teams and external parties, such as lawyers, accountants, and tax experts.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with founders, co-investors, accelerators, and other ecosystem players.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge building, mentor junior team members, helping build a high-performing investment team.

Requirements:

  • At least 12 years of relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, or investment banking.
  • Experience and track record in the sectors of healthcare and education.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading investments and serving on Boards.
  • Highly numerate with knowledge of financial analysis and valuation methodologies.
  • Experience in due diligence from a financial, accounting, legal, or operational perspective.
  • Experience investing in emerging markets or Asia.
  • PASSION FOR IMPACT INVESTING TO GENERATE SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL OUTCOMES AND FAMILIARITY WITH IMPACT MEASUREMENT FRAMEWORKS.
  • Ability to see the big picture whilst focusing on financial details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to senior stakeholders and Investment Committees.
  • A strong academic background from reputable institutions and professional qualifications, i.e., Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. A professional qualification, such as CFA and/or postgraduate qualification, such as MBA would be highly regarded.
