Physical Failure Analysis Expert Job

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise in physical failure analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess extensive knowledge of physical failure analysis methodology and tools.
  • Certify and comply with lab/chemical safety protocols, operate FA tools including but not limited to: Ion Millers, FIB/EDX, SEM, 2D/3D X-ray, X-section, planar grinding and other Lab tools.
  • Solve complex problems covering interdependent process relationships between device layout architecture, fabrication process, and assembly packaging process.

Deliverables:

  • Present findings and provide insights on possible fail models to assist manufacturing process owners in finding and fixing root causes.
  • Improve the failure analysis process to reduce lead time or turn-around-time (TAT), and increase failure mechanism assignment accuracy and consistency.
  • Lead a group of PFA technicians supporting the PFA operation, over-time and expenses management (consumable, tool maintenance, CAPEX for new tool if needed).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Material/Electrical/Electronic or equivalent, with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Subject matter expert experience in physical failure analysis.
  • Lab equipment management and regulatory compliance experience.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills to work across various functional teams.
  • Good and positive interpersonal skills and a growth mindset.
