IT Helpdesk Position Overview

This role focuses on providing technical assistance to end-users through various communication channels.

  • Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology is required.
  • The primary point of contact will handle cases via phone, email, MS Teams, and ticketing systems.
  • The IT helpdesk engineer will configure, install, support, and maintain IT hardware and software – PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers/copiers. Windows operating systems, applications software.
  • Support for Meeting Room Tablet, Projector, Telephone, Cabling, and Audio Video (AV) System.
  • Record events and problems with resolutions in the Client's ticketing system.
  • Coordinate with the Client's IT Department to plan and implement software upgrades and OS installations or hardware tech refreshes on PCs, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Manage day-to-day helpdesk operations – dealing with cases from inception to resolution.
  • Monitor and update the Client's IT Asset Management System.
  • Attend to Client end-users within their premises.

Key areas requiring technical support include:

  • Installing and troubleshooting Windows and non-Windows Applications.
  • Account Administration.
  • End-User Support.
  • Setting up and troubleshooting laptop/desktop/printing/meeting room facilities/video conference systems.
  • Multi-purpose hall Sound System.
  • PC inventories and bi-monthly stock takes.
  • Skype/MS Team Voice.
  • Software Management: Endpoint Central/Intune.
  • Microsoft Defender.
  • VPN Solution.

This role involves in-house escalation to Level 2/3 Support. The position requires expertise in Windows 11 Migration, Autopilot implementation, and other relevant technologies.
