Job Title: Digital Tech Event Coordinator

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our team in delivering high-impact events, marketing initiatives, and business development programs that support the growth of digital tech scaleups.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional who can drive engagement and alignment with organisational objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking skills, excellent people management skills, and a passion for technology and innovation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end planning and execution of both virtual and in-person events, developing and implementing strategies to foster an engaged community of developers and digital tech companies, and building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and ecosystem partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of executives, ensuring successful program execution, high performance, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster an engaged community of developers and digital tech companies.
  • Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of both virtual and in-person events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and vendors on content curation to deliver compelling and informative programs.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and ecosystem partners.
  • Coordinate joint events with partner organisations, ensuring smooth execution and shared success.
  • Manage procurement activities, including vendor selection, approvals, and payments, in compliance with public sector procurement policies.
  • Analyse performance data and stakeholder feedback to refine strategies, enhance program offerings, and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Min. Diploma/Degree in Marketing/Mass Communications/Arts & Social Sciences/Business Management or any relevant field of study is required.
  • Proven leadership experience in event management or marketing for tech or B2B events is essential.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop and implement long-term engagement plans are necessary.
  • Excellent people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams, are crucial.
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources with strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, is desirable.
  • Prioritising innovation, creativity and most importantly collaboration.
