Senior Technical Lead - Billing Platform

About the Role:

The Senior Technical Lead for our Billing Platform will play a pivotal role in leading the development of a seamless, scalable, and transparent billing platform. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering software functions that support Airwallex's growth and empower customers to easily manage their billing needs.

About the Team:

The Billing Team at Airwallex is at the forefront of transforming how businesses handle pricing, billing, and invoicing. Our mission is to create a next-generation billing platform that offers flexible pricing strategies and intuitive invoicing solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers, setting goals and development targets for the engineers within the managed team.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to analyze product requirements and produce technical solutions and execution plans to deliver software products.
  • Design, implement, and deliver software functions.
  • Analyze and validate technical design for software functions from the team.
  • Review code from team members and ensure standards.
  • Engage with Product Managers to build a backlog that continuously contributes to the execution of the roadmap.
  • Contribute to the hiring, training, and development of engineers within the managed team.
  • Assure collaboration between your team and other teams including local/global engineering teams, infrastructure teams, and product manager teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related majors.
  • Proficient in Java 8, familiar with Java multi-threading, high concurrency, IO/NIO, network communication, etc.
  • Familiar with commonly used design patterns, with experience in design and development of large-scale distributed, high concurrency, high load, high availability systems.
  • Mastery of various common server technologies, which can optimize service response and data query, ensure various service quality, and solve the problems of high concurrency and high availability.
  • Familiarity with Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP protocol and REST specifications.
  • Mastery of Gradle/Maven and other build tools.
  • Familiarity with the use of Docker cluster.
  • Familiarity with JSON & XML.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • International clearing and settlement/foreign exchange transactions.
  • Cassandra/Redis/NoSQL/Hadoop.
  • Kotlin/Scala/Python/Golang/R.
  • Docker Swarm/Kubernetes.
  • JavaScript/Angular/React/CSS3.
  • Aliyun Cloud/AWS.
