About the Role

Upskills, a leading provider of financial software consulting services, is seeking a seasoned Market Risk Expert to join our team. This role requires an individual with extensive experience in designing and implementing Murex solutions for market risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive solutions for market risk business requirements
  • Manage user requirements workshops and formulate overall solution designs
  • Model transactions and validation to ensure business requirements are met
  • Work hands-on on Murex VAR/MRA Configuration and troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct analysis and propose solutions for business issues, process changes, and functional requirements
  • Assist in system integration, data migration, and implementation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or Applied Finance domain
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering Murex capabilities for a multi-national/regional company
  • Knowledge of key market risk concepts such as traded products, VaR, stress testing, risk/limit management
  • Strong technical & functional experience in Murex (e.g. VaR, MRA, MRE)
  • Good business knowledge of banking & trading book
  • Good knowledge of Datamart and simulation module
  • Good understanding of model assignments, Market data, Rate curves etc.
  • Proficient communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market risk management and experience with Murex solutions. They should be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and work collaboratively as part of a team.

About Upskills:

Upskills provides expert financial software consulting services to investment banks and leading financial institutions in Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Europe. We offer Front to Back expertise in the cash and derivatives markets, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of financial markets technologies.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, location, and performance. Additionally, we provide a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
