**Job Title:** Environmental Sustainability Leader

Job Summary:

This is a senior role that plays a pivotal part in shaping and executing the organization's environmental sustainability strategy.

The position entails annual sustainability planning, ESG reporting, educational outreach, and fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Annual Sustainability Planning: Develop and implement the organisation's environmental sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with its mission and long-term goals.
  • ESG Reporting: Prepare and manage accurate, transparent, and compliant Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reports.
  • Environmental Education and Advocacy: Design, deliver, and oversee environmental education programs, including the operation of an educational gallery. Promote sustainability awareness through advocacy and public engagement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across sectors. Facilitate collaboration with partners, volunteers, and the wider community to enhance environmental impact and support joint initiatives.

Requirements:

A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field is required. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable.

Proven experience in environmental sustainability, with a track record of successfully managing sustainability projects and initiatives, is essential. Experience within the specific industry sector is advantageous.

Strong understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks, and industry best practices is required. Familiarity with sustainability reporting standards such as GRI, CDP, or similar is beneficial.

Sound knowledge of facilities and sustainability management initiatives is also desirable.
