Job Title

Senior Mechanical Engineer for Next Generation Metrology Equipment Development

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in developing next-generation semiconductor metrology equipment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing precision components and subsystems that support the development of cutting-edge metrology tools.

  • Design mechanical systems and components from conceptual design to detailed drawings.
  • Conduct analysis and simulations, including structural, thermal, and vibration/modal Finite Element Analyses (FEAs).
  • Participate and lead design reviews to obtain a peer-oriented design assessment.
Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing mechanical design of precision components, subsystems, and systems to support the development of next-generation semiconductor metrology equipment.
  • Gathering and uncovering technical requirements and translating them into subsystem specifications.
  • Proposing and completing the design from conceptual design to detailed drawings.
  • Conducting analysis and simulations, including structural, thermal, and vibration/modal Finite Element Analyses (FEAs).
  • Participating and leading design reviews to obtain a peer-oriented design assessment.
  • Planning and executing design verification/validation, including fit/form testing on sub-assembly/system and performing risk analysis.
  • Managing suppliers and ensuring all design requirements are appropriately specified and parts quality meets specifications with inspection on incoming components.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical designs on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
