Job Title: Producer (Video)

The ideal candidate for this role will be a creative individual with a keen aptitude for and experience in factual storytelling. The job involves ideating, researching, scripting, and producing videos for CNA Insider's digital properties such as its YouTube channel.

Responsibilities include creating original in-depth stories, explainers, spin-offs from CNA's long-form current affairs & documentary shows, and videos to grow audience engagement with our show brands. Additionally, the role requires using audience data insights to inform storytelling and imagining the many transmedia avenues of telling a story in close collaboration with other content makers.

Required Skills:
  • Diploma/Degree in any discipline
  • At least 1 year's relevant work experience; newsroom experience is a plus
  • Excellent writing (scripting) skills, with an ability to tell stories engagingly and clearly
  • Critical thinker with creative ideas, curiosity, initiative, and resourcefulness
  • Strong visual flair and directing skills. Technical video production, editing skills or motion graphic skills are a plus
  • Versatile with different forms of storytelling, from host-driven to observational
  • Able to work independently, yet also work well collaboratively in a team
  • Good time management, able to thrive under tight turnaround times
