Job Title: Senior Cost Management Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Cost Management Director to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our cost management team, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end cost management services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Commission Manager, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex commissions or multiple commissions.
- Manage estimating and cost planning activities, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
- Ensure the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client.
- Lead value engineering and life cycle costing exercises.
- Motivate team members and drive towards positive client outcomes and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Critically analyze, challenge, and brainstorm project requirements and deliverables to find creative solutions and alternatives on behalf of clients.
- Lead a cost management team, ensuring that team members deliver on all accountabilities.
- Identify and act upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, and products, and hence improve the service provided to clients.
Requirements:
- Degree qualifications in Quantity Surveying, construction management, engineering, or similar discipline with more than 15 years' work experience.
- Experience working on a range of projects across industry sectors, particularly in public sector, mixed development, industrial, semiconductor, lifescience/pharma, data center, etc.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to drive outcomes on behalf of clients, develop new business, leverage current opportunities, and coordinate with construction and design teams to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Experience in client management with solid experience in client-facing environments that require the incumbent to utilize critical business development skills and advisory skills to enhance project delivery on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
