About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Information Analyst to join our team. As an Information Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and integrating data for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) in the information environment.

Key Responsibilities Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising and coordinating with information agencies across MINDEF/SAF and Whole-of-Government (WOG).
  • Monitoring and leading a team to analyze threats and support information response plans.
  • DIRECTING AND COORDINATING THE CONDUCT OF TREND ANALYSES.
  • Formulating assessments on current events and incidents.
  • Sense-making key insights from various information sources.
  • Challenging: quickly understanding ongoing developments and conversations in the information environment.
  • Challenging: combining qualitative analyses with technical knowledge.
  • Challenging: remaining steady under time pressure.
  • Challenging: being flexible and adaptive to changes in a rapidly evolving information landscape.

Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education in Mass Communications or Social Sciences (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, Psychology, Economics).
  • At least 10 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Able to work under pressure and adapt to rapid changes.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of information systems and data analytics methodologies.
  • Understanding of overarching intelligence processes.
  • Good awareness of Singapore's political, defence, and security developments as well as current affairs and the regional/international media environment is advantageous.
