Pricing Specialist Role Overview:

The Pricing Specialist is responsible for analysing market trends, competitor pricing, and customer segments to determine optimal vehicle pricing. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in pricing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse market trends and competitor pricing to identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Develop pricing proposals for new vehicles and engage stakeholders for approvals.
  • Manage monthly pricing processes, including system administration and issuance of pricing documents.
  • Maintain profit calculation models by updating cost factors regularly to assess profitability.
  • Conduct cost analysis to track changes in vehicle production costs and recommend cost optimisation strategies.
  • Collaborate with distribution partners on mid-term product planning, including defining product strategy, market targets, and volume projections.
  • Manage system inputs for vehicle specification selection by distributors.
  • Address and resolve ad-hoc requests or issues raised by internal stakeholders, regional offices, and distribution partners.
  • Support the preparation of management reports and presentation materials as needed.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree holders with 2-3 years of relevant experience are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and numbers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organised and capable of meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Interest and/or basic knowledge in the automotive industry is advantageous.
  • A proactive team player with a sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel internationally when required.
