SIT's mission is centered on empowering students with deep technical expertise and transferable skills to address future challenges. We collaborate with industry in education and research, providing a talented workforce and benefiting from our collaborative research endeavors.

Our university's applied learning pedagogy integrates work and study, embedding authentic learning experiences within real-world settings. This enables students to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring they enter their careers with relevant skills and competence.

In research, SIT faculty aims to bridge knowledge creation and utilization, working closely with industry on translational research and innovation to address significant challenges and positively impact businesses.

The Early Career Awards (ECA) are designed to support Singaporeans who have recently completed postdoctoral training and prepare them for an academic career at SIT.

Awards will be finalized by July 2026. Below are the supported areas for START:

Health Sciences

This field encompasses various disciplines including diagnostic radiography, dietetics, nursing, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy.

We are looking for individuals who have recently completed postdoctoral training and possess excellent academic records and high proficiency/motivation in a research area aligned with SIT's supported areas.

Strong passion for teaching, research, and academia is essential. If you are committed to academic excellence and have a desire to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply.

Application process is ongoing, with consideration for the 2026 intake for applications received before 15 January 2026. Shortlisted applicants will undergo interviews throughout the year, with final interviews from March to April 2026.

  • Strong passion for teaching, research, and academia

Successful awardees may receive research grants and are considered for Assistant Professorship after the scheme. Each awardee is assigned a faculty mentor.
