Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

This is a key role in overseeing the upkeep of properties and their mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive supervisory experience, preferably within hotel engineering teams.

  • The incumbent will be responsible for managing a team of technicians and vendors/contractors to ensure smooth property operations.
  • Maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems will be a significant aspect of this job, along with inspecting work quality and troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential in resolving rectification requests promptly.
  • A strong focus on safety procedures, including emergency response plans, is vital.
  • Detailed knowledge of building mechanical HVAC and electrical (M&E) maintenance technical skills is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of technicians and vendors/contractors to deliver high-quality maintenance services.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and any issues encountered.
  • Assist in developing and implementing effective preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance on budget planning and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify areas for improvement in property operations.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant supervisory work experience in hotel engineering teams.
  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in M&E maintenance related technical skills.
  • Familiarity with Fire Safety Manager certification is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
