Job Title: Laboratory Support Specialist


About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring specimen identification, processing, and storage meet good laboratory practices.

You will work closely with our laboratory team to maintain accurate test results and reliable data.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure specimen identification, processing, and storage adhere to established laboratory protocols.

  2. Verify accuracy and reliability of test results provided to clinicians.

  3. Maintain an adequate stock of laboratory supplies.

  4. Perform routine housekeeping duties in the laboratory.

  5. Conduct regular testing on laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.

  6. Process and store laboratory specimens according to established procedures.

  7. Transport specimens to and from the laboratory as required.

  8. Perform additional tasks as delegated by supervisors or lead laboratory personnel.

Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree with relevant experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and software
