Job Opportunity: Laboratory Support Specialist
Job DescriptionAs a valued member of our team, the successful candidate will provide support in our laboratory setting. The primary objective of this role is to ensure accurate specimen identification and processing.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for checking specimens received from patients.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized lab environment, including equipment and furnishings.
- Procure appropriate specimens for testing according to prescribed guidelines.
- Process laboratory specimens under strict adherence to laboratory guidelines.
- Utilize the laboratory information system (LIS) to register patients, retrieve results, and print reports.
- Maintain an adequate level of supplies in the work area.
- Distribute stock items to designated areas within the laboratory.
While prior experience is not required, comprehensive training will be provided to ensure the successful candidate has the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
