
Banquet Operations Coordinator

As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of banquets and events. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless execution of events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough roll call of staff before events to highlight important details and promote teamwork.
- Manage daily activities of banquet staff, including scheduling employees to ensure proper coverage for all events and activities.
- Promote quality service through regular communication and coordination with other departments.
- Train, motivate, and direct banquet staff to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure guests are greeted promptly and respond to their requests and complaints in a professional manner.
- Verify that all events are executed according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) to meet client expectations.
- Regularly review event operations with clients and obtain feedback to improve future events.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to review menus and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Inspect function areas, table settings, and equipment to ensure cleanliness, attractiveness, and proper layout.
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and supplies to meet anticipated business volumes.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in banquet or event management.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, menu planning, and computer software applications.
- Strong leadership, people management, and training skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict management, and service recovery skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
