Key Job Description

This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient and compliant bunkering operations aligned with industry standards and maritime regulations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of bunker tankers and ensure safe, efficient and compliant bunkering activities.
  • Adhere to local and international maritime regulations (maritime and port authority requirements).
  • Liaise with port authorities, vessel masters and internal stakeholders on scheduling, vetting and operations.
  • Conduct routine vessel inspections, audits and risk assessments.
  • Assist in incident investigations and drive implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor and enforce safety, environmental and operational standards across the fleet.
  • Guide vessel crews in operational, safety and compliance matters.
  • Coordinate with technical departments on vessel maintenance, dry-docking and repair activities.
  • Maintain documentation on vessel performance, inspections and bunkering operations.
Requirements:
  • Certificate of Competency Class 1 or 2 preferred.
  • At least 5 years sea-going experience, ideally with command or senior officer experience on tankers or bunker vessels.
  • Previous shore-based experience in a Marine Superintendent or Operations role advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of bunkering operations, maritime safety standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to travel for vessel visits and inspections.

Ideal candidates should possess knowledge of Singapore's regulatory landscape, practical experience with safety management systems and ability to work well in an operational environment.
