Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cost Management Specialist to lead our project cost management efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with expertise in allocating work to contractors and subcontractors, communicating with stakeholders on cost estimates, conducting negotiations during the project, controlling project scope, developing cost reduction strategies, monitoring project costs, ensuring compliance with standards, preparing tender and contract documents, preparing cost analysis for the project, and providing advice on contractual claims.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in QS and hold a diploma in a relevant field. They will be responsible for allocating work to contractors and subcontractors, communicating with management, contractors, and subcontractors on adjustments to cost estimates, conducting negotiations during the project, controlling project scope, developing cost reduction strategies, monitoring project costs, overseeing and ensuring compliance with standards, preparing tender and contract documents, preparing cost analysis for the project, and providing advice on contractual claims.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Allocate work to contractors and subcontractors to facilitate a smooth workflow process.
  • Communicate with management, contractors, and subcontractors on adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Conduct negotiations during the project to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Control project scope to meet project objectives and enhance project deliverables and key work activities.
  • Develop cost reduction strategies to enhance the overall value of the project.
  • Monitor project costs to ensure the objectives of the project are achieved in accordance with building contract law.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents in accordance with building and construction regulations.
  • Prepare cost analysis for the project to ensure the overall value is enhanced.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims so that the project scope is managed.
