Senior Algorithm and AI Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Algorithm and AI Manager to lead our team in developing cutting-edge molecular testing and diagnostics solutions. The position is based in Singapore and reports directly to the Platform R&D organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a growing team of Algorithm and AI developers, providing technical leadership and vision for the development of innovative solutions that revolutionize healthcare through low-cost and high-throughput diagnostic systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Applied Mathematics, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving product development lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of Algorithm and AI developers
  • Provide technical leadership and vision for the development of innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with Software, Systems, and Optical Engineers to design and develop molecular testing and diagnostics solutions
  • Develop and implement operation processes, define goals and success metrics, and establish productive collaboration with teams across sites and functions

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in leading Algorithm and AI product development teams, building high-performance teams, and driving product development lifecycles
  • Proficiency in Python, Linux, and AWS technology stack, with experience in regulated software projects (HIPAA, FDA GMP)
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in presenting scientific results, keeping records, and working in a distributed team
