New Product Development Quality Specialist

About the Role
This position plays a vital part in ensuring the quality of new products during the development process. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting projects through various stages, collaborating with engineering teams and suppliers to drive continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting multiple global New Product Development Projects through the NPD Stage Gate Process
- Solid understanding of NPD Stage Gate Process
- Assuring all Quality Assurance NPD deliverables and activities are understood / completed
- Actively participating in NPD Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) meetings / activities
- Collaborating with Design Engineering to define measurement methodology for critical dimensions and specifications (incorporate into Receiving Inspection documentation)
- Supplier Quality - Work with vendors to assure there is a solid understanding of requirements
- Leading product Qualification efforts (include components, materials, and vendors)
- Leading Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and support Design FMEA (where applicable)
- Preparing Control plans, inspection documentation and Quality Plans
- Facilitating PPAPs and Customer Approvals
- Supporting NPD activities as assigned
- Ensuring the successful transition of new products into production
- Responsible for continuous improvement of processes and procedures
- Supplier Quality Management – conducting supplier audit for NPD components (where applicable)
- Training and communication – Training internal team and supplier on quality standard, inspection criteria and NPD quality requirements
- Ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on quality expectations
