Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational excellence of GMP manufacturing production and facility equipment in Tuas, Singapore.

This is an 8-hour shift-based role with shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. The Mechanical Technician will be required to perform repairs on production, packaging, and critical utility systems including compressed air, steam, refrigeration, and water treatment.

The role also involves preventative maintenance (PM), including general maintenance tasks such as welding, basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and PM skills, as well as the ability to perform general maintenance tasks.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing production, packaging, and critical utility systems
  • Performing preventative maintenance tasks including general maintenance tasks
  • Installing new equipment and calibrating process equipment
  • Maintaining detailed records of work and submitting reports
  • Coordinating with external vendors and contributing to equipment improvement projects
  • Identifying and implementing enhancements for process and equipment efficiency
  • Supporting and complying with Integrated Management Systems standards
  • Managing engineering tools, equipment, and optimizing inventory levels

The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment. They should possess strong communication and coordination abilities, a proactive approach, and the ability to work in an 8-hour shift rotation.
