Job Title

A Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating meetings with clients and other key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of engineering project works.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in shipbuilding processes, including design, construction methods, naval architecture, and marine engineering principles.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and proactively identify risks or delays.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, external designers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings and draft timely project status reports.

Good planning and project management skills are essential for this role. The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team is also critical.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in handling engineering projects in the marine and/or offshore industry.
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal relationships.
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding or offshore industry standards and practices.
  • Ability to prepare reports and update key stakeholders on the drawing status.
  • General understanding of key statutory regulations and classification requirements.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Projects, and AutoCAD would be an advantage.
