About the Role:

Sephora is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, who will report directly to the Regional Finance Director for SEA Oceania. This role will serve as a crucial business partner to the leadership team across the region, ensuring that timely and precise financial data is available for effective control and informed decision-making regarding business operations. The individual will act as a strategic finance partner to various regional functions within our organization, playing a vital role in enhancing financial performance, delivering insights, and facilitating decision-making processes to optimize business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver relevant, timely, and accurate financial data to assist management and the regional finance team in critical areas of control, including variance analysis of actual versus forecasts, monitoring capital expenditures against investment goals, and conducting ad hoc cost analyses.
  • Collaborate with business teams on the budgeting cycle, strategic planning, internal process deadlines, and reporting schedules, ensuring follow-up on deliverables within a matrix organization.
  • Work alongside various functions in the regional team based in Singapore, overseeing corporate costs, payroll expenses, cash management, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, as well as statutory audits.
  • Provide financial insights and scenario analyses to support decision-making processes and drive business growth.
  • Recommend enhancements to processes and reporting, pilot tools to optimize business operations whenever necessary or relevant. This includes continuous improvement and development of existing and/or new systems within the organization.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by management as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience with a solid background in accounting and planning, preferably within the retail or FMCG sectors.
  • Previous experience in financial controlling is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Jedox, and/or other performance management software.
  • Demonstrated dynamism, energy, and drive to succeed, with a proactive approach to achieving results.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand key business drivers, and communicate in a commercially focused manner.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • A collaborative team spirit, capable of working with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage across various levels and functions.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
