Maintain open communication channels with department managers to ensure seamless coordination.
Evaluate the performance of the Purchasing Division and review annual goals to drive business growth.
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance team performance.
Ensure compliance with established standards and procedures; coach and mentor staff to maintain consistency.
Establish progressive discipline procedures and conduct training sessions on policies and procedures for all supervisors and employees.
Counsel colleagues to ensure adherence to hotel standards and address disciplinary issues promptly.
Procure necessary supplies in advance to meet delivery deadlines.
Conduct price comparisons by obtaining quotations from suppliers.
Monitor product samples to ensure optimal utility at competitive prices.
Collaborate with departments such as food & beverage, housekeeping, engineering, kitchen, and others to ensure accurate information exchange.
Process purchase orders with accurate details, including item costs and packing, within approved authority limits.
Prepare timely reports, adhering to company standards and meeting required deadlines.
Maintain organized financial files to ensure compliance with hotel policies and local laws.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They should have a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices, as well as experience working with suppliers and vendors.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement or related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
